Common pediatric cardiology referrals include:
- Heart Murmur (or extra sounds in the heart)
- Chest Pain
- Family history of heart problems, or concerns for inherited heart problems
- Known heart problems (such as Hypoplastic left heart syndrome, holes in between cardiac chambers, etc.)
- Previous heart surgeries
- Irregular heart beats (palpitations)
- Kawasaki’s disease
- Passing out
- Medication or Sports clearance
- Genetic abnormalities (Trisomy 21/Downs Syndrome, 22q11 deletion/DiGeorge syndrome, etc.)
- Your family provider wants you to see a Pediatric Cardiologist
