Common pediatric cardiology referrals include:

  • Heart Murmur (or extra sounds in the heart)
  • Chest Pain
  • Family history of heart problems, or concerns for inherited heart problems
  • Known heart problems (such as Hypoplastic left heart syndrome, holes in between cardiac chambers, etc.)
  • Previous heart surgeries
  • Irregular heart beats (palpitations)
  • Kawasaki’s disease
  • Passing out
  • Medication or Sports clearance
  • Genetic abnormalities (Trisomy 21/Downs Syndrome, 22q11 deletion/DiGeorge syndrome, etc.)
  • Your family provider wants you to see a Pediatric Cardiologist
